Patent And Trademark Attorney New protocols between the Turkish patent institute and European and other foreign patent offices for the state of art search and the substantial examination for a patent application for Turkey. 1) NEW PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE T.P.I. AND THE SWEDISH PATENT OFFICE As advised in the Official Patent Bulletin No.79 of January 21, 2003 received in the beginning of March 2003, the new protocol between the Turkish Patent Institute and the Swedish Patent Office will have effect from January 1, 2003 until December 31, 2004. According to the new protocol applicable as from January 1, 2003 the Swedish Patent Office will accept 225 search or examination requests in the field of electricity and 225 in the fields of mechanic or inorganic chemistry, i.e. 450 search or examination requests in total. The applications having the below listed IPC shall not be searched or examined by the Swedish Patent Office:
2) NEW PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE T.P.I. AND THE DANISH PATENT OFFICE A new protocol between the Turkish Patent Institute and the Danish Patent Office has been signed which will have effect from January 1, 2003 until December 31, 2004. According to the new protocol applicable as from January 1, 2003 the Danish Patent Office has increased its search and examination fees as shown in the attached updated list.
