Integrated Circuit Topography Protection now available in Turkey as from April 30, 2004

The Act no. 5147 pertaining to the protection of integrated circuit topographies has been published in the Official Gazette no. 25448 dated April 30, 2004 whereby integrated circuit topographies will be protected under registration by the Turkish Patent Institute for ten years as from launch date of the integrated circuit by the applicant or by third parties through applicant’s permission on domestic or overseas market, provided that the request for registration is filed with the Turkish Patent Institute within two years or in case no commercial activity is in question as from the application date.

The Implementing Regulations of said act have been published in the Official Gazette no. 25686 dated December 30, 2004.
