Trademark Law Treaty will enter into force on January 1, 2005

The Law no. 5118 of Trademark Law Treaty along with its Implementing Regulations pertaining to the harmonization of national trade mark legislation of contracting states by eliminating differences in formality and procedural requirements has been published in the Official Gazette no. 25592 dated October 7, 2004 and will enter into force on January 1, 2005. Amendments to the Implementing Regulations of the currently valid national Trademark Law are expected to be effected in accordance with the TLT in the new year.
